When Panerai released the PAM00317 “Black Knight” in 2008, it pushed ceramic beyond a mere case coating and into a fully monochrome architecture – case, crown-guard and even the tang buckle are all matte black Ceramica, a combination still rarely seen today. Limited to 500 pieces, the watch quickly became a reference point for collectors seeking stealth with technical bite.
The single pusher at 8 o’clock controls start, stop and reset without disturbing the signature lever-lock crown-guard, while the slender GMT arrow glides just beneath the sandwich dial’s cut-outs. Every surface stays dark, right down to the engraved tachymeter on the flange – Panerai knew its audience here.
